How Can I Help?

Welcome to Wisconsin and the 2002 National Junior Angus Show.

Milwaukee, site of the 2002 show, is positioned in the center of the Midwest, in the Southeast corner of Wisconsin, nestled along a bluff on Lake Michigan's western shore. With a population of 610,700, Milwaukee is the 19th largest city in the country and the largest in Wisconsin.

Lake Michigan influences the climate considerably, cooling the city in the warm months and moderating cold temperatures in the winter. Summer temperatures range from the 70s to 90s. It is suggested that when participating in nighttime summer activities that one have a light jacket on hand.

Milwaukee is conveniently located near the intersection of interstate 94 and 43 and is only eight miles north of General Mitchell International Airport. There are many taxi and limousine services available for your transport needs.

Wisconsin is a great agriculture state plus it is a state packed with exciting events and outstanding recreational variety.

Close to the Wisconsin State Fair Park, you will find a number of family fun attractions, including Milwaukee County Zoo. Separated only by hidden moats, predators and prey seem to live side by side in natural environments. Zoo train and zoomobile tours are available; plus the newly renovated "Temple Monkeys of Tikal" exhibit is a special treat of fun.

Baseball fans have something to cheer about as Miller Park has become the new home of the Milwaukee Brewers. Miller Park is the only ball park in North America that boasts a fan-shaped convertible roof and a natural grass playing field.

If your notion of summer fun, goes beyond the city you will find here in Wisconsin a number of fun and interesting activities including biking, camping, canoeing, fishing, sailing and sight seeing, to just name a few.

Extend your trip to the 2002 Nationals and enjoy the many family attractions.
